Favorite Moment a Day Journal

Hi! My name is Blake from the 6th Grade Blog Takeover.

Today, I am writing about my favorite moment a day journal. I try to write in it every day and I write my favorite moment of the day or something I am thankful for. It could be anything, I just have to try and write in it every day. I got it at the beginning of the year so I am going to try and fill it up by the end of the year. It helps me relax and express the positive things in my life.

If you need a tip, just jot down your favorite moment of the day. It could be the simplest thing or a very complicated. You could also say something you are thankful for, family, a pet, a place, a sports team. It could be anything.

Blake from the 6th Grade Blog Takeover. I am a basketball player. My favorite animals are dogs and giraffes. My favorite color is neon green. I love to read. My favorite genre is mystery.

  1. Blake, jotting a best part of the day sounds like a simple way to build a writing habit and focus on the things that make us happy. Thanks for the tip. I think I’ll try that.

  2. Blake, I do the exact same thing! I have a Sentence a Day Journal, but mine will last for FIVE years. I am on year #3 and I love reading about what I was thinking on the same day one or two years ago. I can’t wait to get to year #5. Please promise me one thing—PLEASE keep your journal forever. I threw away my journals from when I was young and I so wish I hadn’t. I can tell you have a lot of writing in your future and I KNOW what you write today will come in handy in the future.

  3. Blake, I've never thought about doing this before, but I am going to try it. I have been grumpy and cranky lately I have a feeling this might really help me see the wonderful parts of my day. Thanks for the suggestion.

  5. Blake, I didn't learn until I was much older how helpful it is to write every day. Kudos to you for learning so early in life!

  6. Blake, giraffes are my favorite, too! And, what a great idea for a journal. I especially love that you can go back in it to remind yourself of what makes you happy.

  7. Blake - this post has a lot of wisdom in it. I have read that expressing daily gratitude in a journal makes for a happier person. And now you have me thinking about how going back to reread such memories and favorites would be simply fun. Today I plan to start my notebooking with this idea; I'll round up a few favorite moments from the past week. Thank you so much! Peace. xx
