Hello Notebook!

This is a page in my notebook. This is the first page in my third notebook. On the top left corner, you can see that I wrote this on April 30th, 2018. I can’t believe that I actually am writing in my third notebook, because some people are on there 56th or 78th notebook are something right now. But I can see that it takes a long time to actually get to a high amount of notebooks. Well, it seems sort of simple now. It's just going to take some time. In the meantime, I will continue writing in my notebook.

Writing in my notebook is sort of like a friend in your hand that you can communicate with ink and they won’t contradict you and are all ears. Some people just don’t know what to write, and the blank pages are intimidating. Remember, your notebook is a friend, NOT a bully. Also like any other friends, you need to spend time with your notebook. So write your feelings, your doodles, your stories, and everything you would tell your best friend. Now writing is one of my favorite things to do. Thank you for reading my takeover blog post.

My name is Arshia and I am a fellow blogger and notebook writer. If you want to see my blog Lifestyle of me, you can click the link.Thank you.

  1. Arshia, I love how the writing revolution needs this notebook! Even though I'm a quarter of the way into my notebook, I'm going to take time today to write a letter of introduction. This is such a great idea!! I think this will become part of my notebooking ritual. Thank you!

  2. I really like this idea too. My favorite part of your post is the line " Remember, your notebook is a friend, NOT a bully. " For awhile I was having trouble writing in my notebook every day. Those blank pages were intimidating. I began giving myself writing prompts so that when I opened the notebook to write, there were no blank pages! Even adults, even teachers of writers have to trick themselves sometimes.

  3. "Writing in my notebook is sort of like a friend in your hand that you can communicate with ink and they won’t contradict you and are all ears." There is a lot of wisdom here, Arshia, and I hope you will be able to apply this freedom and bravery you feel as a writer to other new learning in your life. Writing teaches us many lessons, and your idea to "meet" your notebook is a cool one. Congratulations on Notebook #3. Bit-by-bit, they sure pile up. And all of that thinking too. Thank you for your generosity. xxxx

  4. Arisha, I have lots and lots of notebooks, but I've never written such a lovely address to my notebook on the first page. I like that you are giving your trust and your friendship to those pages. Very nice.

  5. Congratulations on starting your third (!) notebook! You are a writer with a lot to say and so smart to understand that the notebook is your friend. I hope lots of other kids read this and decide they need a friend in a notebook.

  6. I love the way you've made a notebook sound like an old friend, Arschia: Just like Amy, I love "Writing in my notebook is sort of like a friend in your hand that you can communicate with ink and they won’t contradict you and are all ears." I kept notebooks for a long time, but stopped for a while because it seemed like computers were easier. I'm back to that "old friend" now because I like that I can also doodle in my notebbook and I've missed that a lot. It helps me find ideas to write about! Thanks for your post!

  7. What a fun page you’ve created Arshia — I love the lively voice of your notebook and your personal welcome too! I have many notebooks as I’m a visual artist and writer and I enjoy the sprinkles of animated pen characters in your writing too, thanks!
