My Notebook

Hi, my name is Jafar G. One thing I love to do is play a game called Fortnite. Fortnite is a virtual game in the game there are 100 players winning is something that not always happens but the game is still very fun to play, but something I adore doing is writing in my notebook.

I have been writing for about two years and I hope I can eventually become a professional writer and be famous for my poems or stories. A big dream I have is to write my own book and publish it. Maybe I could actually meet some writers like J.K Rowling, Jeff Kinney and more but I love those twp writers I named. I look up to them and one day wanna be just like them Jeff Kinney is very funny and J.K Rowling is very dramatic and has an amazing imagination.

I know that both of the authors use notebooks that is why I love writing in my notebook because I know that I could achieve goals with my notebook just like they did. I love writing and I want to do it for the rest of my life.

Hi, my name is Jafar. I am 11 years old and I am a 6th grader at Brambleton Middle School. I have lived in Orlando, Florida for 5 years and 2 years ago moved to Ashburn, Virginia. I love basketball. I have played it for about 4 years. I have also played for a team called the Timberwolves. We made the playoffs but lost in the first game by 1.We were all very disappointed in ourselves and some of us were actually crying about the loss. But the whole thing went well and everyone forgot about in a month. But I still play for fun. A couple of things that I would actually do is play a game called Fortnite. Fortnite is a virtual game in the game there are 100 players winning is something that not always happens but the game is still very fun to play. I blog here.

  1. Jafar, thank you so much for sharing here at Sharing Our Notebooks. I am here in NY thinking about how games and writing are a little bit the same. We don't always win or become famous or take the title, but bit by bit, we get better and move closer to our goals. Small steps are the key. You are wise to think about your own favorite authors and to learn from their habits. As someone much older than you, I can promise that writing even when you're an adult is a wonderful thing. It helps you know who you are and where you want to go. Thank you again!

  2. I bet your dream comes true, Jafar. Work hard, learn as much as you can from your writing teachers, read lots and lots of books, and dream big!

  3. I ❤️❤️❤️ that you have such big dreams, Jafar! With lots of hard work, I know those dreams will come true! I’ve done a lot of research and there are a few things I’ve learned about becoming an author: read a lot, write a lot, find some good mentors (sounds like you have), write and read some more, keep good notes in your notebook, be willing to try new things, and always be brave when sharing your writing. I see great things ahead for you!

  4. Hi Jafar, I enjoyed reading your blog post. I am teacher in Canada. Your post made me think of the need for writers to have mentors or models. When I teach writing, I use many books to model effective and cool strategies and techniques. I do the same when I am writing. And when I am stuck in my own writing, I look for books that might help me get unstuck and I read them again. I guess it helps to look to favourite authors no matter how old of a writer you are.

  6. I like hearing that you are learning about other authors and using your notebook as they do, writing stories, and more stories! I imagine also that your game-playing might give you some good background for a great story. Thanks for sharing what you're doing, Jafar!

  7. I have found that the more I write in my notebook, the more I have to say. And think of all the ideas for books that you will have when you look back into your notebooks!

  8. HI Jafar
I love that you are balancing a love of gaming with a passion for writing, and hope you find ways to merge the two together (as you did, here, with this guest post). Video games can be used for all sorts of creative adventures.

    Sincerely,
