Quotes in Your Notebook

3 Reasons why everyone should
write quotes in their notebook:

  1. It is like a moral in a book, you learn a  lesson.
  1. Some quotes have metaphors that make it easier to remember your lessons.
  1. It makes you feel good to color and look at the quotes and understand them.

My name is Aditi and I am Ms. Haseltine’s sixth-grade student. My teacher and substitutes are the best because they help us and encourage us to write in our notebooks.  Here is the link to my blog if you would like to hear more from me!

Please know that Sharing Our Notebooks welcomes all kinds of notebook keepers - of any age and interest - to open up their pages and share their process.  If you are interested in writing in this space, please contact me, Amy, directly.  I welcome you!

  1. Aditi! I know something I will try this weekend! 'Love the quote you chose and this idea too. I write quotes but have never written one in such a bold and fancy way. Do you ever write from your quotes? Thank you tons for sharing here in this space. Happy weekend! xx

  2. You are so, so smart! There is such wisdom in these three tips. I am a huge fan of quotes, but I’ve never written them in my notebooks like you have. I will give it a try. Thank you for the inspiration! 😊

  3. I collect quotes, too, Aditi, and love hearing about your collecting and how you use them. Here's a favorite of mine for you today: "Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart." William Wordsworth. Happy writing!

  4. Aditi,
I love how you incorporated quotes into your notebook! I too love to work with quotes and especially love to use fancy lettering and different colors! I think that you are doing an awesome job. :) I can't wait to see more work from you!

  6. As I get older, I collect more of these quotes and I do find I look back at them. Finding someone else's words that speak to you, for me anyway, help me figure things out that I hadn't thought of in that way before. Thanks for this lovely post.
