This really makes me feel so much better about my notebook. I always carry guilt around with me when I don't finish something I started, or I give up after too many false starts! I'm not doing that anymore. Thanks, Mary Lee.

Dana
dmurphy@msd143.orgDananoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5443776659707935381.post-78508270694989175382012-12-04T03:01:38.846-08:002012-12-04T03:01:38.846-08:00High praise, coming from you, Sir! I may take a bit of your advice to heart and think about getting a separate notebook for the "intended" writing as you said in an earlier comment. For the next three weeks, my students and I will be working on our calendar project. I can't wait to share the wisdom from this post and many others. We will be "following ideas around and around, page after page" and month after month. Mary Lee, this line is perfect!

You are both true mentors for writers of all ages. I tell my students every year to put their notebook in a safe place where they can make sure they keep it for 20-30 years so that when they look back, they'll have a glimpse of themselves at age 10!Mary Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09078793537148794310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5443776659707935381.post-83612080887326788592012-12-01T04:00:31.818-08:002012-12-01T04:00:31.818-08:00Ah...please remember that I got to CHOOSE the page...Ah...please remember that I got to CHOOSE the pages I showed you!Mary Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09078793537148794310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5443776659707935381.post-85171339222236390282012-12-01T03:59:45.449-08:002012-12-01T03:59:45.449-08:00Nope, you're sure not!Nope, you're sure not!Mary Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09078793537148794310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5443776659707935381.post-57590880150094730502012-11-30T17:59:56.783-08:002012-11-30T17:59:56.783-08:00How nice it is that you have all your notebooks an...How nice it is that you have all your notebooks and journals.
