Hi! I’m MK. I will be blogging today,May 26. Which “ironically” is my favorite number. Anyway, I usually wasn’t too thrilled in elementary school to do writing. We always had a set topic- a moment in time. I literally started running out of ideas! You only have so many small moments in life.
When we got out very own notebook this year, I started getting more and more ideas because of all the writing freedom we have. I love showing up to the fresh pages in my notebook and filling them with words. If you plan to be starting a writing notebook, or currently do, then I suggest doing a quote of the day if you don’t already. Starting a notebook does not mean having to write a lot. Just do a little everyday and you will start finding more and more to write about. Thank you for coming to the blog today!! If you want to take a look at my blog, you can find me at http://blogs.lcps.org/bam18marykateaa3/!
Thank you again to these writers from Michelle Haseltine's sixth-grade classes, for taking over Sharing Our Notebooks this month. What a delight! Please check in each Saturday morning in May to see who wins each week's notebook giveaway!
Please know that Sharing Our Notebooks welcomes all kinds of notebook keepers - of any age and interest - to open up their pages and share their process. If you are interested in writing in this space, please contact me, Amy, directly. I welcome you!

MK - What a wise post. You have grown as a writer. I am thinking about how goldfish grow bigger if they live in bigger tanks. This seems to be what happened to your writing spirit! Thank you tons for posting and sharing here today. xxxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post! Thank you for these encouraging words. I'm so proud of this post. I love the Maya Angelou quote you picked to share here. It's one of my favorites!!! What a terrific post!!
